About Jolene

Jolene has been involved with horses since 1987 when she got her first horse Armbro Aura, an  off the track standardbred pacer and she has been riding, managing and loving horses ever since. She was actively involved in 4-H competing both as a rider and in unmounted activities at the regional and national level. Jolene continues her involvement with 4-H as the Vermont Hippology coach and the barn manager at the New England 4-H Horse Show at the Eastern States Exposition. Jolene is a well-rounded rider having trained and competed in hunt seat, saddle seat, jumpers, and western on many different breeds of horses.  Jolene began her career managing a horse farm in 1998 when she and her family purchased Freedom Farm. Each year since has seen major improvements and renovations, most recently with new siding and windows on the barn and additional PVC fencing around the property. Jolene has been a riding instructor since 1998 and has taken students from local to regional championships in a variety of disciplines, but has most recently shifted her attention from riding instruction to farm management. Jolene has always been committed to providing quality care to the horses on her farm and is knowledgeable in horse nutrition, pasture management and herd dynamics. She recognizes and supports the needs in a horse's daily environment to help them reach their fullest potential in the health of each horse, from retirees to serious athletes.
